Picasso Marble
by Mark ~ May 30th, 2008. Filed under: abstracts, rock, stone, travels.I am a bit of a loss for words lately and also running frantic gathering things together before I leave town. . My ‘day job’ is sending me off to Germany and the Czech Republic for a week. . Probably no time for pictures though. Always interesting experiencing other cultures and lands – though I absolutely hate flying. . Airplanes simply are not designed to accommodate someone who is 6′7″. . . It is always a hassle trying to jockey for the seats with a bit more leg room against 300 other people probably with their eyes on the same seats – whether they really need them or not . Inevitably I end up in a standard seat and then battle with the person in front of me who insists that the seat really can recline past my kneecaps. . Did I mention I hate flying?
So this a bit more chaotic image of picasso marble not only describes how I have been running around everywhere tying things up, but also a bit like all the driving that will be done when I am over there . Plus, I think I could use some of the good things associated with picasso marble according to some folklore:
Self-control, Clarity, and total recall of dreams. Assists in meditation. Protects, nurtures, strengthens. Aids in mind expansion and manifestation of physical and material goals. Stability. Helps to heal viral infection.
Take care folks, and have a good week.

6′7″? Wow! I’m only 4′11″! Sorry about the flying, but do try to have some fun on your trip. See you on your ret’n!

The reason all us short folks are looking at those seats is that we do so need them too. But don’t get me started on how seats without enough legroom for someone 5′4″ are too damn small!
I’ve never been to the Czech Republic, and it’s not high on my list, but any trip’s a good trip. Take at least a point and shoot camera, you never know what you’ll see.

6′7″…surely if you smile at check-in they give you a good seat Mark! Hey, this is another really wonderful image. I like it just as much as the waterfall images. Love the blue and golden yellow tones and of course the abstract nature of it. Superb! Safe trip, safe driving!

P.S. Did I mention I bought the Canon G9 which I will take with me on these types of trip. I have one coming up, going to Cairns on Tuesday morning, a 3 hours flight north of Sydney, just packing light so will bring the G9, it’s great for this, compact, shoots RAW and gives me bigger files than my 20D! Consider it…

Heck, I struggle with those reclining seats at 6′ even! Dang, I cannot imagine 6′7″!!! Ouch!
Well, enjoy your trip. I’m sure that you’re already there, or in route.

Hey folks, thank you for the comments and well wishes. I am back now. Only had very limited free time, but snapped a few pics of castles and such. I was very excited to see Arctic sea ice around Greenland from the plane window!
